Geothermal exchange systems in closed and open circuit for the air conditioning of spaces and industrial applications
Throughout these years we have developed our own technology, knowledge and sufficient experience to address all phases of a large geoexchange project, both in closed circuit – with installations in operation of more than 1 MW of power – and in open circuit. , where we have executions of more than 2 MW.
80% of geoexchange projects are executed on a turnkey basis. More than 50% have the objective of rehabilitating thermal production, the building or production plant, with the aim of adapting it to the challenges posed by the energy transition process.

Viability analysis
It allows the geoexchange system to be adapted to the geological environment of the site, the thermal loads of the project and the investment, savings and emissions reduction objectives of the promoter.
Its objective is to select, among the different alternatives, the most interesting solution for the developer based on its needs and availability of resources.
The methodology consists of:
- Analysis of loads and thermal demands of the building to determine the stresses that will be required on the ground.
- Selection of the most appropriate type of circuit according to the geology of the site: closed vertical, closed horizontal, open, geoactive foundations,…
- Location characterization. It includes the detailed definition of three main aspects for the design of the solution: geology, hydrogeology and thermogeology of the site.
- Installation sizing. Calculation of the main characteristics of the facilities for different thermal demand coverage objectives.
- Analysis of alternatives. Comparing the required investment and operating savings obtained with the different alternatives compared to another thermal generation system proposed by the promoter.

Construction project
It consists of the development, at the basic or execution project level, of the alternative selected by the promoter. However, usually the chosen alternative is implemented under the turnkey modality, ensuring compliance with the investments, savings, returns and indicators calculated in the feasibility study. In this way, the quality of the work carried out is ensured and any possible deviation in execution costs or system performance is minimized.
Turnkey is the usual solution in thermal production rehabilitation projects that require intervention usually limited to the mechanical room that guarantees maximum energy savings and emissions reduction with minimum cost. It is a true custom suit that requires significant detailed engineering that accompanies the project at all times.
The design of the exchange circuit, the modifications to the principle scheme, the selection of equipment, the regulation and control and the integration of the new system into the existing architecture must be carried out ensuring the minimum effects on the activity of the center and the maintenance of the service. during the works.

Circuit construction
- Integration of the geoexchange system. Adapting the existing or planned regulation and control to integrate the geothermal system, where applicable, with the conventional generation system, and with the secondary system of the building to ensure that performance and comfort are maintained.
- Commissioning of the installation and monitoring of the operation of the system, at least during the first year of life in order to detect and correct any aspect that requires it.
- Monitoring and optimization of geothermal exchange systems. We design and install monitoring systems that allow us to verify the correct functioning of the executed installation and compliance with the planned energy indicators. This is an iterative process aimed at optimizing operation, detecting any anomalies and maintaining savings over the life of the system.
- Maintenance. We provide the maintenance service for 60% of the facilities carried out, including practically all of the rehabilitation projects implemented. We complete the cycle started with the feasibility analysis and guarantee the operation of the system, throughout its life, in the best conditions.

- Supply, assembly, testing and certification of any element of the system: exchangers, pipes, collectors, chambers and registration and regulation chambers, such as mechanical rooms,… TELUR has its own product and, among other products, has manufactured and installed more than 150,000m exchanger circuits (probe) and their distribution collectors equip more than 14 MW of facilities.
